University of North Dakota's Multicultural Conference for Belonging and Inclusion

Advancing belonging and inclusive practices in teaching, research, and service (Oct 7 & 8, 2024)

This in-person conference will bring students, faculty, staff, community members, and social activists together to discuss issues related to belonging and inclusive practices in higher education and beyond.  At its core, this conference will serve as an interdisciplinary forum to introduce and explore best practices, policies, theories, and research associated with equity, inclusion, and social justice. Additionally, this conference will explore barriers to the effective implementation of equity and inclusion practices as well as solutions to address these barriers.

Conference Proposal Submissions:

Proposals are being accepted until September 13 and should fit within the conference theme. Students, faculty, staff, higher education professionals, counselors, psychologists, social scientists and scholars can submit for poster sessions, symposium sessions, or presentation sessions. An individual may submit a maximum of two proposals to be considered and should not be similar or redundant in content.

Each session will be 50 minutes in length.

Poster or Student Poster Presentation: 

Posters may share preliminary findings or completed scholarship.

Symposium Presentation: 

Panel presentations will feature several presenters providing critical learning and discussion opportunities. This format allows attendees to hear from various experts, experiences, and viewpoints on similar topics. Panel presentations could feature three to five speakers.

Oral Presentation: 

One to two presenters will share their expertise.

Authors will need to submit an Abstract (200 word maximum) and a Summary Statement (800 word maximum) by September 13.

Pride in Health Conference

The Queer & Trans Graduate Student Group and the Centre for Human Rights Research at the University of Manitoba is hosting Pride in Health this October. The conference will take place on October 24th and 25th in 澳门王中王论坛, Manitoba at the University of Manitoba.

is an international, intersectional research conference on 2SLGBTQIA+ health and healthcare. We will have oral and poster presentations from students, early career researchers, and community-based researchers, as well as 2SLGBTQIA+ artwork. There will be virtual attendance and presentation options available for those who are unable to travel for the conference.

Sexual Violence Response Team (SRVT)
