The University is in the pursuit of nurturing a community of socially and ecologically responsible individuals who inturn are creating an impact within the wider community within the broader context of sustainable cities and communities. ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University has assumed a pioneering role not only in managing resources but also in supporting the government in realising the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In accordance with that, The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Smart Sustainable Campus Committee (SSCC) was set up in 2017 to brainstorm, innovate and make recommendations to guide campus-wide policies and initiatives.

In 2016, The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Group formally incorporated the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) into their mission and as such sustainability became a core feature of . Demonstrating its commitment to drive change through innovation, the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Group Sustainability Department has been set up to cascade and drive the Group’s climate and environment policy, operations and management of natural resources, energy, utilities, environment, biodiversity conservation, waste management initiatives, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the use of alternative resources to systematically and sustainably maximise system efficiency. ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Group Sustainability Department is the unit responsible for the sustainability strategy and sustainability management.
