Biography
Caroline is a dedicated educator with a passion for fostering student academic growth and driving innovation in higher education. As a Principal Teaching Fellow in the Department of Accounting, she has consistently strived to elevate the learning journey of her students by integrating technology into her teaching.
In 2019, she was honoured to receive the Award in Excellence in Teaching in ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University, a testament to her commitment to delivering exceptional educational experiences.
Currently, Caroline is seconded to the Chancellery Office as the Senior Manager for Education Transformation, reporting directly to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education, Employability and Alumni). She has been with ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Business School since 2009, holding key leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Accounting and Director of Undergraduate Studies.
Caroline holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) from University of Hertfordshire and a Master’s in Education from the University of Malaya. Prior to her role as the Director of Undergraduate Studies in 2023, she completed a 1.5-year secondment to the Academic Enhancement Division (now Centre of Academic Development), at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University. During her secondment, she played a pivotal role in advancing the academic excellence and pedagogical innovation within the university community. Her key contributions included facilitating professional development, developing guidelines, providing mentorship and support aimed at enhancing student engagement, assessment methodologies and curriculum design.
As a Senior Fellow of Advance HE, Caroline remains actively engaged in facilitating continuing professional development workshops for her colleagues. Above all, she is deeply committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive educational environment, ensuring students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
