Biography

Since 2012, Professor Sheikh Anwar bin Abdullah has served as a highly respected consultant hepatologist and gastroenterologist at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Medical Center, bringing with him a wealth of experience cultivated through a distinguished academic career. His journey began as a clinical lecturer at UKM in 2003, culminating in his promotion to Associate Professor of Medicine in 2009. Professor Sheikh Anwar's expertise extends to a comprehensive range of advanced endoscopic procedures, including therapeutic and diagnostic colonoscopies and gastroscopies, single and double balloon enteroscopy, and EUS (linear and radial). He demonstrates exceptional proficiency in managing complex inflammatory bowel and liver-related conditions, solidifying his position as a leading figure in his field. Furthermore, Professor Sheikh Anwar maintains a strong commitment to clinical medicine teaching, shaping the next generation of medical professionals.
