Dr Itas has worked in academia for more than 13 years, leading training departments, managing projects, performing DFT calculations, and doing research and teaching. Administratively, he served as the Sub-Dean at Faculty of Science, Saadu Zungur University, Gadau-Nigeria. Dr. Yahaya has a broad and diverse research portfolio that spans across various scientific disciplines, with a particular focus on nanotechnology, hydrogen energy, carbon dioxide capture use and storage, nuclear physics, radiation physics, and quantum capacitance. He also explored structural and optoelectronic properties of various nanotubes extensively.

He is passionate about using modern technology to solve difficult problems in materials science and engineering. In addition to this, his academic endeavors and publications in the related fields highlight his dedication to fostering innovation and having a significant impact at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University's School of Engineering and Technology.
