ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University Welcomes First Cohort of MD Students
On 27 December 2024, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University proudly welcomed the first cohort of students for its new Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme. This orientation marked a historic milestone for the university and set the stage for a transformative journey in medical education.
Twenty students attended the event, all eager to embark on their path to becoming future doctors. Professor Sibrandes Poppema, the President of ºìÐÓÊÓƵ University graced the occasion, sharing an inspiring welcome address that highlighted the university's dedication to excellence in education and healthcare. We were also delighted to have the support of Academic Clinical Lecturers from ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Medical Centre. Their presence underscored the programme’s strong connection to clinical practice and the importance of hands-on learning.
This orientation was a promising start for our MD students, and we look forward to their future contributions to the medical field.
