Scholarships & Awards
There are many awards, scholarships and bursaries available to current and incoming students in the Faculty of Business and Economics. With the exception of the Canada Life Scholarship and Work Placement Program and the Red River Co-operative Scholarship, all awards, scholarships and bursaries are coordinated and granted through the University’s Awards and Financial Aid Office. Departmental Awards
The Faculty of Business and Economics has two departmental awards:
- The Canada Life Scholarship and Work Placement Program
Canada Life offers a scholarship and work placement program exclusively for business, economics, and economics and finance students in our Faculty. The selected student(s) will receive up to $5,000 in scholarship support as well as a paid work placement with Canada Life this summer. The recruitment and selection for this unique opportunity typically takes place in the winter term. Keep your eyes on the FBE student newsletter and our social media pages in January for information about the application process each year. - The Red River Co-operative Scholarship in Support of Co-operative Enterprises Education
This scholarship is intended to provide funding to students who have an interest in Co-operatives and who are pursuing further studies of the co-operative business model through enrolment in the co-operative courses. The recruitment and selection for this opportunity typically takes place in the fall term.
