Imagine the unthinkable: A family member, friend, or loved one begins to choke or collapses, their heart stopping. In those critical moments, every second counts, and your quick response could mean the difference between life and death. Don’t wait until an emergency leaves you uncertain of what to do.


Type of Certificate

  • Certificate of Proficiency - valid for two years upon successful completion of the knowledge test (50 multiple questions) and skill evaluation.

Fees

Certificate of Proficiency (RM200)

  • Participant pays RM100 only (the balance RM100 will be subsidized by Student LIFE)

*LUNCH IS NOT INCLUDED.

Learning Outcomes

Participants should be able to: -

  1. Explain the importance of immediate basic life support and early use of an AED.
  2. Explain the AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components.
  3. Perform High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
  4. Deliver effective shock using an AED.
  5. Perform effective ventilations using a barrier device.
  6. Perform as an effective team member during multi rescuer CPR.
  7. Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants.
