WISE Kid-Netic Energy: Workshop Instructors

During the school year, WISE Kid-Netic Energy offers science and engineering workshops throughout Manitoba. We will be hiring a number of instructors. If you are passionate about science or engineering, detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and have a valid intermediate or full driver's license, we want to meet you!

Start2Finish

Start2Finish is a registered Canadian charity whose mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at-risk children throughout their school years, nurturing mind, body, and social health so they are empowered to succeed and become role models for change. Start2Finish's vision is to eradicate the effects of child poverty in Canada.

Are you someone that wants to make a difference in the lives of marginalized children? Join us weekly in-person or online!

As a volunteer coach, you will:

  • Encourage students for positive change physically, mentally, and emotionally
  • Lead physical activities such as exercises, running workouts, and games
  • Engage in social-emotional learning discussions through the weekly 'word of the day'
  • Assist students in reflection through journaling
  • Help children read, and provide encouragement

Brainworx! Lunch Club

Through physical activity, mentoring, social-emotional learning activities and literacy support, the Brainworx! Lunch Clubs aids in educational recovery by helping students. You can volunteer online, twice a week, with sessions running 30-40 minutes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday, from October to May.

There are also opportunities available to volunteer for the Start2Finish Running & Reading Club, which takes place  once a week from January to May.

Seven Oaks School Division Skating Instructors

The Seven Oaks School Division is seeking qualified skating instructors for the Learn to Skate Program for the 2024-25 school year. Part-time positions available 


Shifts during school hours:

  • 9:15 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
  • 10:00 a.m.–2:15 p.m.

The skating program takes place at Seven Oaks Arena and Maples Arena.

  • Staff teaches with other instructors 

  • Students in grades 1-2 

  • Skating experience and competency is required. Experience working with children is an asset. 

  • Successful applicants must provide a completed (current within past 12 months):
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
  • Child Abuse Registry Check
  • Salary: $21.87/hour

U SPORTS Internship Program

U SPORTS, the leader of university sports in Canada, has internship opportunities available at the U SPORTS National Office for the Fall 2024 academic term.

U SPORTS is seeking to fill two (2) positions in their Sport/International and Marketing/Communication Departments. The internships will run from mid-September through mid-December, with an honorarium payment to be made at the completion of the term. Position details are listed in the U SPORTS Internship Program document.
