How do I qualify for this program?
You must be 21 years of age or older by the start of the September session.
You must be a representative of an inner-city population (do not have to live in the inner-city).
Be in need of academic, personal, or financial supports in order to pursue a university degree.
How long does the program take?
The Bachelor of Education program takes five years to complete.
Access Education runs its program from September to July to accommodate a slightly lighter load during the year to assist in our flexibility of the program.
What kind of teacher will I be once the program is completed?
You will become a kindergarten to grade 8 teacher in the early years stream.
How do I get an application?
You must attend one of the following information sessions held in October, November, December, January or February each year

December 12, 2024 at 4 p.m.
January 14, 2025 at 4 p.m.
February 13, 2025 at 4 p.m.

Can I enter the program with a completed BA/BSC?
You cannot come into this program with more then 27 credit hours of university coursework completed.
The reason for this is if you've completed a degree you do not have academic need.
Is there any financial support for this program?
Students can apply for a student loan as well as Bursaries that are available to qualifying students.
