NextCloud - Cloud Storage and Collaboration
What is Nextcloud?
- Provides 30 GB of storage for your data files, similar to Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive
- Ability to view and edit common document files in your browser
- You can share files and documents with others outside of the University
- Ability to work on documents concurrently with another person
- Assurance that your files are stored at The University of °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõÂÛ̳, not off campus or out of the country
What do I need to get started?
All you need is a U°ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõÂÛ̳ network account to get access your 30 GB of storage on Nextcloud. Your network ID and password are the same that you use to log on to your U°ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõÂÛ̳ computer while on campus.

How to Share a File (generate a link)
To share a file, you need to:
- Login to Nextcloud
- Select an existing file or upload a file
- Click on the ‘Share’ icon
- Click the ‘Share link’ selection box
- Select the sharing options that you like
- Send the user the ‘Share link’ (select the 'Copy Link' icon)
There are a total of five options that can be placed on this shared file:
- Read Only
- Allow upload and editing
- File drop (upload only)
- Password protect
- Set an expiration date
