Barbara Gardner
Currently employed to the Office of the Children’s Registry (OCR), an Agency in the Ministry of Youth & Culture, as Jamaica’s first Ananda Alert Officer; responsible for Coordinating with Government Agencies, private partners and other stakeholders island-wide in issuing and tracking alerts of missing children as well as search and rescue operations in the unfortunate event they go missing. She holds a BSc in Public Administration with a minor in Accounting and a Graduate Diploma in Sociology from the University of the West Indies (UWI). She also has a MBA (Finance) from the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTECH). She has co-wrote several project proposals and was integrally involved in writing the OCR’s recently published Search and Rescue Protocol for Missing Children.
Barbara is an avid reader, and when not working, likes to volunteer in Children’s Homes and with the elderly. She enjoys watching most forms of sporting activities (Cricket, Football, Basketball, NFL and Tennis) and loves traveling to new places and sampling the local cuisine.
