Eric Garlo Lewis

Eric Lewis

Eric G. Lewis is a Liberian and a development professional with over ten years of progressive development work experience in Monitoring, Research, and Evaluation. As a passionate development expert, Eric's over ten years career span has allowed him to work with over six international development organizations in and out of Liberia. Working with these organizations over the years has helped Eric to gain more insights and experience in various thematic areas.

As a 2016 US Department of State Scholar working with a non-profit in Chicago, Illinois, Eric led the team in designing and conducting a program needs assessment. The effort led to Eric producing a comprehensive report with key findings and recommendations, which guided the organization in making policy decisions that benefited Syrian refugees settling in the US.

Serving as the Research & Evaluation Specialist with the American Institutes for Research, Eric was pivotal in collecting, analyzing, and disseminating program data for an education project that benefited over fifteen thousand students in three regions of Liberia. This project contributed to Liberia meeting the threshold set by the Millennium Challenge Corporation to be eligible for the MCC compact award of USD 257 million. The fund went toward the rehabilitation of Liberia's hydroelectric dam, thereby reducing poverty and promoting economic growth in a post-conflict economy.

Eric contributed to the successful implementation of a USAID-funded Liberia Municipal Water Project by planning and coordinating several studies. Policy decisions emanating from these studies resulted in the provision of potable water in three of Liberia's major cities: Robertsport, Sanniquellie, and Voinjaman, respectively.

Eric earned a Master's degree in Project Management from the Atlantic International University USA and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Liberia with a major in Public Administration. Based on his unwavering passion for continuing to serve the underprivileged, Eric is highly motivated to study Development Practice: Indigenous Development at the University of 澳门王中王论坛. His dream is to deepen his understanding of global development issues as he wishes to continue his contributions to the underprivileged population in Africa and the world.
