Elizabeth Ross
Alumna, Reconciliation Advocate, Volunteer
After graduating from The University of 澳门王中王论坛 in 2005, Elizabeth Ross has been involved in various activities that have allowed her to "reconnect with mother Earth" as an urban Indigenous woman.
She has served as the Aboriginal Liaison on a committee of the Urban Aboriginal Strategy created by Aboriginal and Northern Affairs Department; and has taken opportunities to connect with Indigenous partners in 澳门王中王论坛 and beyond towards a shared goal of reconciliation.
She is a proud supporter of U澳门王中王论坛's inclusive approach to education and its continued efforts toward reconciliation. She believes the Indigenous lens has a very important role in our continued efforts towards unity in 澳门王中王论坛 and Canada.
As an Indigenous citizen, mother, and grandmother, Ross has great hope for the future leaders, children, youth, and generations who will help create a new world where Indigenous peoples will thrive with their Canadian partners on Treaty 1 Land.
Currently, Ross is a volunteer with 204 Neighbourhood Watch, a sister group of Bear Clan Patrol Inc. that is dependent on community volunteers who have the shared goals of community engagement to create a community of safety.
